Investigators of the Dept. of Neurochemistry and Neuropharmacology of IIBB have identified the presence of dopaminergic receptors sensitive to the action of antipsychotic drugs in excitatory and inhibitory neurons of the prefrontal cortex, a key are in the pathophysiolgy and treatment of schizophrenia. This study has been published in the journal Cerebral Cortex, situated in the first decile of Neuroscience journals.
