Paloma Ruiz Blázquez, a predoctoral fellow of the research group "Tissue Remodeling, Fibrosis and Cancer" has been awarded the prize for the best basic research poster of the XXXII Congress of the Catalan Society of Digestology

Paloma Ruiz Blázquez is pursuing her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dr. Anna Moles, within the research group Tissue Remodeling, Fibrosis and Cancer (TRFC group) of the IIBB. This group focuses on the study of tissue remodeling during the development, progression and resolution of chronic diseases, with special emphasis on fibrosis and cancer.

The XXXII Congress of the Catalan Society of Digestology took place in the Congress Palace of Tarragona from February 26th to 28th. After revision and evaluation by the scientific committee, the poster was awarded as the best basic research poster.  The annual congress of the SCD is not only a meeting for clinical experts and basic researchers, but also brings together the most cutting-edge research in digestology in Catalonia.
