An article was published in the latest issue of "Mass Spectrometry Reviews" where the first IIBB director, Prof. Emili Gelpí reviews his scientific career, from the beginning, at the University of Houston, under the direction of Dr. Joan Orò, until his work as director of the IIBB. The article also allows us to take place what a scientific career in Spain is and what things have changed (and which ones are not) over the years.
