In the 2022 edition, Fundació La Marató de TV3 raised 11.2 million euros with which 37 cardiovascular health projects will be financed. IIBB will receive €733,265 to investigate therapeutic targets and biomarkers of cardiac damage in acute myocardial infarction, stroke-associated risk factors, stroke-induced insulin resistance and lipid-associated inflammation in ischemic stroke. Three of the projects are led by IIBB researchers Anna Planas, David Brea and José Martínez, and Carles Justícia participates as head of a sub-project in a project coordinated by the Institut de Recerca Sant Pau.
