Nature Index has published its 2019 annual tables which include the classification of the global research centers according to their scientific production for the year 2018. These tables include the best 100 institutions in all sectors, as well as the 10 best institutions according to its high-quality research results by subject, in life sciences, chemistry, physical sciences, and earth and environmental sciences.

CSIC is in position 54 of the global top (100 best institutions in all sectors), in position 12 of the European top and in position 4 of the global top of governmental institutions.
