Dr. José C Fernández-Checa, from IIBB, has been awarded Doctor Honoris Causa by the Autonomous Metropolitan University of Mexico (UAM). According to the Academic College of the UAM, the appointment is a recognition of their scientific contributions to the field of biomedicine and their close collaboration with researchers and professors of the UAM.
